Photos focusing on the subject(s) while portraying a classical mood by also focusing on lighting/wardrobe/backdrops.
Classic Portraits
Conceptual Portraits
Conceptual, fashion, fine art, and avant-garde. Photos with a heavy focus on themes/wardrobe/lighting/misc. & using the subject as one of many pieces to the overall puzzle. Conceptual portraits convey a sense of fantasy and subjects usually portray a "character" rather than themselves.
These sessions typically require extensive planning & editing.
As such, additional fees may apply. If you have a specific idea that will cost more than what was booked, you will be notified by email where you can choose to upgrade and pay the additional costs, rework the idea to cut back on additional costs, or cancel your booking for a refund of the deposit paid.
Cinematic Portraits
Portraits taken in lovely or important places, where the background & scenery are important parts of the overall image. These types of shots are often seen in my wedding galleries & are great for engagements, couple's, Seniors & more. These sessions most often require travel to you or a location, rather than shooting in studio.
Environmental Portraits
Photos showing who a subject is by highlighting their work or living area, such as portraits of artists in their studios, bakers in their kitchens, or professionals at their offices. These sessions almost exclusively require travel.

*PRO TIP*
When it comes to conceptual images,
quality over quantity is key.
A session with three spectacular images will be more valuable than any less-than-spectacular session with 10 or more finished images. When dealing with highly conceptualized photos, 1-3 photo sessions typically yield the absolute best and strongest results!
Turnaround
You can expect your finished photos within a few days to 3 weeks from the shoot date. If you purchased a lot of photos, or if we did a very elaborate shoot, expect the wait time to be closer to 4-5 weeks. Weddings can be anywhere from 6-12 weeks. Actual turnaround times may vary.
Printing, Copyright,
& Commercial Use
Sessions do not include prints (unless given free as part of a promotion)
All portrait packages come with a free print release, giving you legal rights to print your images anywhere you want and as many times as you want, for personal use only, with no additional fees.
A print release will allow you to print your photos but does NOT permit you to sell them, edit them, make money from them, use them to advertise a product/event/business or claim them as your own photographic work.
Commercial printing under this release is not permitted.
Editing/altering the image(s) is not
permitted under this release.
Examples of Permitted Use:
-
Printing wall art or miscellaneous merchandise for yourself, your personal use, or as a one-off gift for someone else.
-
Displaying a printed piece in private or public, or anywhere one may decorate, including offices and commercial buildings, so long as the printed product is not being used to promote another product or brand in its display.
-
Uploading the web-sized versions to your social media, fan pages, blog, or personal website.
-
Creating one-of-a-kind artwork out of or based on the image, such as painting or decoupage of printed materials.
Examples of NON-Permitted Use:
-
Adding a logo, name, or brand to the image in any way.
-
Printing on flyers, tickets, shirts, posters, stickers, or any other promotional items that will be distributed, whether given away for free or sold for money.
-
Editing the image in any way. Adding overlays or filters, adding/removing things, applying generative fill, or otherwise altering the image in any way.
-
Uploading the image to a stock photography or photography-sharing website.
Permitted Commercial Use & Info:
-
Submitting the image for printed or online publication, with proper credits given and notice given to us. Publications legally require the signed consent of the photographer to use any images. Be sure to have them reach out to me for a signature.
-
You may use your images commercially on comp cards and business cards without additional permission.
If you would like to purchase the commercial rights to sell or distribute the images in any way, commercial usage licenses can be purchased.
Reach out to me via contact form to discuss your project and I can get a quote for you.
Leasing commercial rights still does not permit you to claim the piece as your own photographic work, but will allow you to use the images commercially.
If you are unsure if you need a commercial license or not for your project, just ask.
Please note that even with a commercial release, you will still not be permitted to sell the digital image(s) as stock photography, and you will still need permission to make major edits or changes to the original piece.

Cancellations & Rescheduling
Portrait & Conceptual Policy:
A $50 non-refundable deposit/initial payment is required at the time of booking to hold the date/time for you. This payment does come out of the total package price and is not returned in the event of cancellation. If you need to reschedule, your deposit can be applied to another day so long as you cancel 48 hours or more in advance. If you cancel or reschedule your session within 48 hours, you will forfeit your initial deposit and will need to pay a new one to secure a new date for your session. If you no call/no show on the day of the photoshoot, you may be required to pay full price upfront in the future and you will only receive a 50% refund on any balance already paid, not including your non-refundable deposit.
Wedding & Event Policy:
A $300 non-refundable deposit/initial payment is required at the time of booking to hold the date/time for you. This payment does come out of the total package price and is not returned in the event of cancellation. If you need to reschedule, your deposit can be applied to another day so long as you cancel 4 weeks or more in advance. If you cancel or reschedule your session within 4 weeks, you will forfeit your initial deposit and will need to pay a new one to secure a new date for your session.
Should you cancel your wedding or event within two weeks of the event date, you will receive a 50% refund of any amount paid (minus the deposit), and the remainder will be kept as a late cancelation fee.
**If you booked a makeup artist and/or hairstylist for your session, they may have their own clause for canceling and canceling with short notice and deposits. We work with many different makeup artists, so be sure to ask what the cancellation and rescheduling policy is for your particular artist when booking. **
**Taxes and fees are not included in your refund amount.**
MISC.
-
Sessions are priced based on the number of finished, edited photos. If you buy a 3 photo session, you will get three photos in total from said session. I do not give out unedited extras, and I do not send out RAW photos under any circumstances. The unedited photos are not included in the package and will not be given.
-
Sessions do not include hair, makeup, or wardrobe. Plans for any or all three can be made accordingly. A stylist can be hired as an addition to your package, and costumes can be rented. If you would like to explore these options, simply inquire about them when booking your session. The studio is equipped with a variety of accessories, headpieces, and crowns which you will be welcome to use during your session.
-
To choose the absolute best images from a set, I generally select the final images that are to be edited and do not give unedited galleries to clients to select their own images.
I do this for several reasons, the number one being quality. I can see how the image will look after editing, and often I will combine two or more images into one to make the best possible finished product. I factor in many details of the photos. Not only just how you look, but also clarity, composition, focus, etc. This ensures that only the best of the best is given. It is impossible for a client to envision how I will edit the photos and rework them, so leaving the choices up to me makes sure that you get the absolute best shots you can get.
-
All packages include a time limit of up to two hours of shooting time. For packages with hair and makeup, the time limit is 3 hours. If the session has to run over time, as deemed necessary by me, you will not be charged for the extra time. Conceptual sets are not subject to this time rule and may run over.
